He does not, half the time he snatches her away, Inuyasha has the situation mostly under control, and Kagome can take care of herself. Very few times he actually "saved" her from danger.

Saying Kouga is as good as Sesshomaru is an insult. Sesshomaru is far more powerful than he could ever dream of being, on top of that he is a weakling aided by jewel shards, and without them he probably wouldnt even stand up to Sango.

I have seen every episode aired on AS thank you, alot of them many times over. It is you that happens to be mistaken, He had one in his arm at the time of juurumaru. Plus Im pretty sure it was Inuyasha that killed them, Kouga moved out of the way before he got sliced in half.

The jewel shards not only give him speed but power in his legs.

Lets take away his shards and the tetsaiga. Kouga is not stronger than Inuyasha. I think you are forgetting that Inuyasha has the iron reaver soul stealer and blades of blood. On top of that If kouga would be as lucky enough to get that far with Inuyasha to with an inch of his life, he'd go bizzerk and transform. In that state, Kouga wouldnt stand a chance. Without his jewel shards he is just as weak as his comrades, who can barely stand up to the birds of paradise. If memory serves correct, Kouga gave Inuyasha his best at Naraku's false castle with extra help from naraku might I add. He still couldn't kill inuyasha. So even with the shards he wouldn't defeat inuyasha, and damn sure wouldnt last against Naraku. On top of all these Sango has done damage to many of naraku's incarnations, I don't know where you have been.

Yes Inuyasha transforms when his life is in danger, when the sword is not with him, He didnt at the begining of the series because guess what? The sword was in his fathers grave, in which was in his EYE. And I do believe when I made that comparasion we took away the sword and shards. Inuyasha can take way more punishement, and What is this about Soul Stealer sucking? What are you talking about, All kouga has is some kicks and punches, he has no special powers without his shards. Hell, Inuyasha survived through his own Windscar, Kouga ran away from it.

The whole point is, If kouga wasn't in the series, It wouldn't change it much. Take Sesshomaru out, and you lose a huge dynamic to the whole story. Therefore Kouga is not as important as Sesshomaru. Even Sango is more important to the story than Kouga, by way of her little brother. Whatching the Japanese episodes and then the Dub episdose does little but change around some dialog, It doesnt change the animation.

Mibu, I don't know if you're a DBZ fan, but has anyone besides me realized that ALL DBZ fighters that weren't born into the role were bad at first? Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Piccollo, Tein and Choatzu, Vegeta....ALL of them were once bad guys! This is to say that Koga can change as well. Kagome is the one that changed Koga. Koga wants to impress her, so he does what would make her happy....to harm no one. On a similar note, we are made to eat other lifeforms everyday. By your definition, does this make us, not good?

Koga, however, is probably my least favorite character, but I don't really HATE him. I think Ayame is adorable! If Kagome were at my school while I was in school, I would've asked her out. :)

As far as Naraku, I suppose she wants a hand in it. Seeing as how most of the Shikon Jewel was given to him by Kikyo in service of some elaborate plan of hers. On the other hand, I think her plan has done more harm than good.

True, she is preventing the souls from moving on while she uses their energy to stay alive. However, energy of the soul, like any other, can't be destroyed. If anything, Kikyo fragments it as she uses it up little by little. If you're a believer in reincarnation, then it's not that big a deal. All of the energy will go back to the Earth and be reborn no matter what. Kikyo merely delays it.

i get your point, but after seeing a few more inuyasha eps, i like kikyou way better than kagome, mostly because kikyou reminds me of myself she has alot of emotions that she likes to express, and wants to in any way she can, but has some trouble doing so.

Kagome on the other hand is the one i think is annoying, she doesn't like to share her emotions with any one, when something is bugging her she keeps it all in until she cant take it any more and either gets pissed or crys, which leaves inuyasha and the others helpless to understand how she is feeling, so there is no way they can help. which leaves inuyasha pissed because he wants to help but he cant so he gets pissed also.

i get your point, but after seeing a few more inuyasha eps, i like kikyou way better than kagome, mostly because kikyou reminds me of myself she has alot of emotions that she likes to express, and wants to in any way she can, but has some trouble doing so.

Kagome on the other hand is the one i think is annoying, she doesn't like to share her emotions with any one, when something is bugging her she keeps it all in until she cant take it any more and either gets pissed or crys, which leaves inuyasha and the others helpless to understand how she is feeling, so there is no way they can help. which leaves inuyasha pissed because he wants to help but he cant so he gets pissed also.

As i kinda got farther into the series Kagome has alot of moments with InuYasha but she pretty much ruins alot of them. Like in the one i saw today Shiori's Family and InuYasha's Fellings towards the end she was sitting with InuYasha and they were sorta havin a moment and he says something softly calmly and kinda sweetly then she pops up starts pattin his head and in a real squeky voice says"Oooooooo.Good Boy."Then he gets mad stands up with a mad anime face on and yells "Would you quit treatin me like a dog!"

Look on the bright side. I get confused when my mother gets tongue-tied, because she starts using the word "thing" too much and it leaves me wondering what this "thing" she's talking about is. I like Kagome though. She may be a little dense sometimes because she won't tell Inuyasha that she loves him. However, can anyone imagine the situation she's in? She's from the modern era and Inuyasha's from the feudal era. I imagine she's considered whether or not it'd work because of that in addition to the triangle with Kikyo. On a different note, I can never figure out why Kagome always goes to the feudal era in her school uniform and one backpack full of crap. I'd seriously pack some camping gear and the proper clothes.

Interesting way to think of it. Perhaps Kagome is destined to be part of what's going on in the Feudal Era in order for the Modern Era to take place. If she stops going, maybe everything would change in the Modern Era. It's possible Kagome is destined to use the Shikon jewel to rid the world of all demonic powers in Feudal Japan in order for the Modern Era to be rid of demons. This would leave Inuyasha with only his human blood, thus left with a mortal lifespan. Of course, I'm guessing a lot here.

Anyway, I compared Kagome to the scouter and not the dragon radar because jewel shards create a substantial power increase in demons who use them. Kagome can tell if a demon is using one, thus she can better estimate its power level. But you do make a good point, she would be like the dragon radar as well.

I'd say my least favorite characters of each "group" would be Kikyo, Jaken, and Kanna. Kanna was a real pain in the game. She could reflect just about anything back at you. She even got me with my own wind scar. -_-; If I would have remembered Inuyasha's first tango with her in the series, I probably wouldn't have tried that.

Everyone has made excellent, well-thought out arguments to back their opinions. I like that. I understand Kikyo's relevance, and I understand that she's there to ultimately help destroy or to destroy Naraku herself (dunno, I haven't seen that far yet). But, in my opinion, she should not end up with InuYasha. She has died. She died long before Kagome came along. That should not be changed. I also have my moments of thinking "Why does Kagome put up with this crap?" InuYasha is torn, and refuses to make up his own mind. So, at times, InuYasha gets on my nerves as well. At times, mind you.

Re-thinking all things, I'd have to say that Kikyo irritates me because I think she's selfish to a point. Koga irritates me because he's pushy about his feelings about Kagome (it would irritate me to no extent to have a man like that after me)...
But, Jaken's whining is the worst, yet, so humorous at times.
It's a love-hate relationship.

However, I love this show, and the irritations are essential to plot development to get you to emotionally react to the characters. I'd suffer through it all over again because I think this is the best anime series I have ever seen.

1: Naraku cuz he's evil, and he has really greasy hair O_O and he tries to kill InuYasha!
2: Kagura cuz she's creepy and pompous. She thinks she's a real hot shot with her Dragon Dance and all that but she sucks!
3: Koga cuz he keeps trying to win Kagome's heart and take her from InuYasha, but he never suceedes. Why doesn't he lay off?-_-;
