The Toon Zone News website reports (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=22565) that America's Cartoon Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=704) has confirmed that it has no plans to resume airing of the One Piece (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=836) anime series. According to a representative, the network has aired all the episodes it received and does not plan to repeat them. The network has already filled (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-02-12/bakugan-to-debut-on-cartoon-network-on-february-25) One Piece's former timeslot with repeat showings of the Bakugan (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=7738) animated series. The One Piece episodes dubbed by Funimation (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=13) debuted (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-09-28/funimation%27s-new-one-piece-dub-starts-saturday) on Cartoon Network on September 29 of last year.
Update: The Bakugan repeats that replaced One Piece have just been replaced (http://schedule.cartoonnetwork.com/xmlServices/ScheduleServices?methodName=mainSchedule) by Blue Dragon (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=7478) today. Thanks, Nebs. Its a damn shame what they did to One Piece in the US. A damn shame. My understanding is that Funimation will finish dubbing the entire series but it'll be straight to dvd. *still hates all their VAs*
