I found an alternative to http://music.yahoo.com. It's http://pandora.com/. It's free by displaying advertisements, but so far doesn't stop the music. Check it out.

If you don't want to keep your browser open wile listening to pandora you can download http://openpandora.googlepages.com/ Open pandora. I use it all the time when playing games and doing work. Just loads pandora's flash player into a .net program.
