Did it a few more times...my download number ranges from 7k to 20k....but my upload stays around 1.1k area

the speed is affected by current downloads you may be performing at the time

XD for all i know its just basic Comcast home service(they only have 2 levels of service....home and business) :P....Comcast is just...really friggin fast...

EDIT: also teh ping and speed is determied by your comp specs sometimes too...did the test on my new rig first *points out that those scores were done on my good computer* on this computer i pinged higher and had about the same upstream and lower downstream

eppy's speeds are so damn fast because the speedcheck site is also only 50 miles away from him xD. Latency is lower.

PS. today I had a torrent hit and stay at 1.3mb/s. Comcast's speeds are nuts now that they filter seeding.

he's probably going through a bad line or his ISP isn't routing him to the fastest rout. If he has comcast then thats kind of weird, if not then theres no surprise that his ping is slower.

(edit) I wonder how accurate this actually is. My first test was to the NY connection, my second was to the bangor, Maine one and I got better results even tho its double the distance from me. :p

Download Speed: 5139 kbps (642.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1509 kbps (188.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

not a whole lotof improvement on download, but upload nearly quadrupled
