I had the distinct pleasure of playing through the Dragonlance trilogy game made for Advanced D&D as a Kender. I was told that I played him just like the Kender in the books. Of course, every time I did anything that he did in the book, they would ask me if I had read the books. Up through the end of the campaign I had not read the books. Since I read the books, I found a memorable connection with the trilogy. It was as if they had written MY story.
I was asked to keep a list of fifty minor, common day items that you might find laying around. I would receive extra experience whenever I used one of these items, such as a clothespin over the nose when the room got smelly.
One of my most memorable moments in the game involved the false dragon. I won't give it away, but for those of you who have read the first book of the trilogy, you'll know what I mean. I performed the act flawlessly in tandem with the DM. Everyone was so surprised by the turn of events, especially when they discovered the fact that I came up with the idea without reading the book.
The other most memorable moment was the treasure room that dangled over a large bottomless pit. No one wanted to chance the room, but me. My Kender squirmed his way across the large chain links to the platform. I quickly picked up everything that looked expensive. Just as quickly some metal armor came to life and looked a lot more threatening than what I could handle on my own, so I jumped off the platform.
Everyone including the DM did a take back. He asked me if I was sure. I sat back and said piece of cake. He told me my Kender jumped off and was now free falling. I then reminded him that I had a flying carpet and pulled it out. After a few moments I stabilized and divvied up the treasure.

AH!! That is funny! I was a Blade Dancing elf once. A few years ago...I was a bit new at D and D and did not get the whole 'role playing' thing. My daughter's dad was the DM. I wanted to spend time with him and since he was wrapped in this stuff, I got into it too. I got this great idea to play a male elf. As the DM read over my stats, he raised and eye brow at the fact that here I was, this male elf with long blond hair and green eyes. I was flawless. He laughed so hard at me but said "I'll allow it". His buddies grumbled having a elf on the team, as I was ignored by all of his friends and they did not acknowledge my chracter was a part of their party. During one huge battle they were all fighting this huge dragon. We had all lost some major life, and a few of us had died. We had a monk I think, that could bring people back to life or whatever..but the ELf was the last standing. Being a blade dancer, we go into battle swinging two bastard swords and sing songs of praise to our gods. The DM described it as..here comes the elf swinging his two swords and singing lalalalalalalal. (*rolls dice*) He looked up and then at my dice, and then at his manual. He raised and eyebrow and quietly said "and the elf makes a clean hit...killing the dragon." ALL of his buddies were sooooo pissed that they all beat the dragon down and I made the killing blow. I smiled. His roomate challenged the elf saying that he was outraged and threw a punch at me. He missed and I swung back. I guess the dragon gave him a real beating cuz my one punch killed him. He was pissed for days. He had his dwarf whatever it was for months.
From then on I was know as the 'gay' elf since my voice remained female even in chracter. The DM would make remarks about how the elf would sit off in a corner and play with his 'long golden locks' when we'd stop in at taverns and how the women would swoon over my beauty.. My elf never died and I still have my sheet on him. He had a funny name. I just remember that the DM and the party just called him AIR MAIL..the gay Elven Blade dancer. I miss D and D. (*tear*)

Thats a hard one considering my six years of D&D experience and forum based experience so I have many memorable characters.
I suppose you could say the very first character I ever RPed in D&D would be my most memorable. Being new to the game I didn't know what to pick for a class but seeing as how I have a love of paladins I chose to RP one (which is odd, me being an atheist). So I quickly threw him together since my friends and I were all new to the game and we went at it. Most memorable experience with him would have to be shortly after my friend and I took over a goblin camp. We had slaughtered 100's of goblins, note this is a paladin and a barbarian, and were leaving the scene because we originally only went in to recover a magical item. We met up with the NPC party members and headed into the forest when we were ambushed by a Blue Dragon (mind you we're level 5 at this point so it wasn't that old of a dragon but still powerful). After getting our asses handed to us (and my friend getting barbecued by a direct blast of the dragons breath) time freezes and our cleric reveals itself to be Gold Dragon. I'm told that I must slay this dragon with an enchanted arrow that our party's wizard had made. If I hit the dragon would be instantly killed and I'd be awarded my paladin mount and if it missed I'd have to engage the dragon in melee combat by myself while my friends watched on. Before shooting the arrow the cleric unfreezes the wizard and casts a true strike spell on me (Basically an instant 20 plus what you roll) and I had to roll anything but a 1 to hit it. Tension was rising as I stared at the d20 and my friend looked at me with eyes saying "You better not roll a one or we're fucked". I picked it up and rolled. After the dice landed we watched until it finally stopped, stopping on a 2. All three of us (two players and the DM) fall out of our chairs laughing uncontrollably because lets face it that was funny. So time continues with everyone else wondering what the hell happened while I'm standing proudly by my new Pegasus mount.
That is by far the most memorable moment and character I've ever had the chance of role-playing. Since then nothing has lived up to it (besides maybe my Halfling Rogue that barely survived a direct lightning bolt hit as I was jumping out of a castle tower onto a flying carpet or my Drow Goddess (Divine Rank of 7 and 20 lvls in Sorcerer) with a Force Dragon familiar and a lvl 20 Divine Rank of 3 Drow Scion as an Avatar. It was an Epic level campaign with lvl 40 being the max level without Divine Ranks. In terms of class levels I was the weakest of the 6 of us but in terms of Divine power I was the most powerful).

This is Mathias' wife and my most memorable character would have to be Kylva the elf. She was my very first character right after I learned anything about D & D. My husband, then a complete stranger, and our friends helped me to make her the best 1st level rogue ever.
Mathias was DMing at the time and made Kylva the main character so that I would get into the game more and interact with him, his form of flirting. Anyhow, Kylva ended up in a Theive's Den and Mathias said to roll the dice and then no matter what she had to do I always seemed to roll really high. The DM would go into lengthy descriptions that just wowed everyone.
Okay, that sounds weird but it was memorable to me because it was in that game and character that I first met my wonderful and crazy husband.

I used to play this great dwarven general, war strategist and all. I would lay out well thought out plans for destroying enemies en masse with very little resources. The DM loved it, so much that he would throw a few of these encounters at us where we would be slightly out numbered. Say 2 - 1. Fine and dandy.
Then he threw an army of goblins, with many accessories, and ..., oh yeah, Tiamut! WTF! There were six of us and we were only level 5! It was about then that Muric, the dwarven general, most diplomatically said "stick your tails between your legs and run the f*** away!"
:slap:
The DM was a little sore with me, because he was expecting me to pull some s*** out like I did in one of the earlier games to save the day. I looked him straight in the eye and said "I don't know what the f*** your smoking, but dude, you need to lay off that s***!"
:smoke:
Besides that most "memorable" encounter, there were plenty others, but I will only share this one more.
I will let you know that my DM had a sick mind and thought it was fun to watch my character die in the most senseless ways possible. Not just once or twice. Every freaking night we played. Twice in one day once! That day, he was "rewarding" me for rolling a natural twenty against one of the deities in his game. I believe I was at 3rd level that day.
-_-;
Thankfully, I had a pansy elf, Mathurin, on my team. He managed to pick of a staff of resurrection around 1st level or so, who oh so loved to bring me back to life. After they recovered all of my body parts of course.
:explode:
Mathurin eventually joined with another deity to become something new. When he did so, Muric lied dying after defending him. While my character was praying to join his dwarven ancestors, the DM decided that his last act of bravery deserved to be rewarded. So Muric became his herald. Finally, Muric was to receive ever lasting peace, only to be d***ed to an afterlife serving a pansy elf. I'd shed a tear for him if I still cared.

Cobra 1: i had played a game on here a couple of years ago. it was some sci fi game. and i made up a character (drawing and everything) for the game. it was based in the future. and i was basicly a hitman. but wanted for some reason. the game ended too soon. but i was defitnally a bad ass. kept having people attack me, i think Dubird was gonna be a weapons supplyer? someone was. anyway i had my own ship, and it was during the boom of gundam and outlaw star. so it was pretty populare. till most of the players left >_>
