I think it's supposed to be released on the virtual console this week sometime, actually.

I'm surprised you can't find the GC version for less than $100, though...the most I've seen them running for is $40. The collector's edition, mind you, not master quest.

I wouldn't mind picking up the wii just for the virtual console. Didn't they recently release "The Legend Of Zelda A Link To The Past" on it? I love that game but its one of the only games they didn't re-release on the gamecube.. fucking gameboy only re-make.

Go to ebgames or gamestop. Even if its used, as long as it still plays, its all good. ^_^

Collectors disk with Oot and classic zelda games for $45 used:

(edit)

$10 for Oot on the virtual console. O_o Damn, for a download for such an old game you'd think it'd be cheaper.

$10 is cheap if you look at the used value of the game bub :P you think Nintendo is stupid or something :P

i dont think i wanna get a used one w/priced more than $40ish. that's expensive as getting a new one with $100. to me anyway ^_^;

damn $10? if wii only had good games out now that'd be probably best option. so far, i'm only interested in Oot since i already own TP for gc.

yeah, $10 isn't bad in comparison. And gamecube games are almost always ridiculously priced used unless they are on their greatest hits list. I remember mario kart was $44 used for 2 or 3 years after it originally came out.

Nintendo is probably going to make an ass load of money off it's virtual console. All N64 titles starting off at $10 etc.. but I remember I didn't own nearly as many games on the N64 like I did for the supernes. Some day I'll probably own a wii and collect all those old school games like the contras, kid icarus, marios, etc.

Of course emulators on a computer could probably play everything like that already. :p

OoT on Wii? The games they have that I've seen weren't too bad--I'm a little addicted to Rayman but seeing Zelda games would make my day even better.
