Here; Central NY, we have curbside pick up for trash and recyclables. All paper, plastic and metal goes in the bin except for soda/beer bottles and cans. There is a 5cent deposit on them and most grocery stores/walmart have the machines in the lobby to return them whenever you want. I recycle everything that I can.
Do you have curb pick up for your recyclables. Is there a bottle deposit on that Coke you're drinkin? If not then why not? What are the policies concerning recyclables and returnables where you live?

I'm going to guess so. All I know is that if you crush tin cans and take them to the recyeling place they'll weigh them and pay you like $0.25 cent a can (the weighing part is to like get the estimates on the number of cans, I'm going to guess that weighing part).
