http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/19/zelda-twilight-princess-for-gamecube-is-no-more/ Apparently unless they deside to sell it in online outlets over here like in Japan, they've just given all us American Zelda fans a big bitch slap right in the face.

[Update 2: Nintendo's official statement: Online reports about the Nintendo GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess are incorrect. The amazing game will be available at retail outlets nationwide on Dec. 13.]
they updated it. Nintendo would seriously die out on that move alone... I think that would really piss off whats left of its hardcore fanbase so much that they would finally just boycott Nintendo.
Nintendo PROMISED it would be a gamecube game.

This game is due out in 2 1/2 weeks but I can't find a single store that is taking pre-orders for it. Nintendo's zelda.com is still reporting a 12/12/06 release, but nobody is taking pre-orders? I have the feeling nintendo's marketing department has purposefully postponed the gamecube version just to encourage more people to buy the wii. I'm highly disappointed.

Im seeing this too, I looked for the game on gamestop and EB but couldn't find a trace, if they cancelled it they can forget me buying a wii, that will totally piss off all gamecube owners looking forward to this game, as i am. according to IGN its release date is 12/11/06 (link here http://cube.ign.com/objects/572/572738.html Official Nintendo Site http://www.nintendo.com/gamemini?gameid=fce85fe2-688f-4276-a3c2-84e0f270ab8b Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Official website http://www.zelda.com/universe/game/twilightprincess/ ) It seems like they plan on releasing it but they haven't even set the ESRB rating yet looks like they're seriously behind.

Yeah, I don't see how it could possibly come out at the date they're referring to. I can understand all the excitement and work that comes with a new system launch. But holy shit. You'd think they'd want as much money during the holiday season as possible. With Wiis selling out all over the place, people could still pick up ZTP for the gamecube and it would be a huge seller.

I wouldn't be surprised if they delayed it until January in hopes that people desperate enough to play it will buy a Wii to obtain it.

The last time I checked, bestbuy is offering pre-orders for the gamecube version. But we all know how wrong bestbuy is when it comes to pre-order info.

Its the cheapest since the 16-bit era of $199.99. But you know you are going to get another controller so that will cost you $60 because you have to buy the nunchuck with it. so you might as well say the Wii is $300.

thanks for the support, Deathscythe X, what i meant to say was that i plan to get a Wii and a PS3 and I prefer to get the Wii first, the system may be just 200 bucks but think about it, uhh second, third and fourth controllers, and games that adds up to a good amout of close to 450 bucks

According to zelda.com Twilight Princess is now out for the wii and the gamecube, but I can't find the gamecube version in any store. Has anyone else had any luck finding it? or is nintendo just full of themselves?

yeah, I was going to update this topic a couple days ago. I did find it for gamecube at ebgames. They had it in stock and I was pretty tempted to buy it, but I don't have the cash at the moment. :\

I read a couple posts here and there about people being disappointed with Twilight Princess about half way through the game. O_o I wonder if this game is really good or if people were just expecting more because of all the long delays..

probably expecting more because of the long delays... i mean they delayed a finished product for 7 months. The game was done, they just wanted people to buy a Wii.
From the people I know that beat it, they said it was really good.

All legend of Zelda games are great, exept the one they make for the 3D0 that was crap.
