I was trying to think of a name for a village in my story and I stumbled across an actual village in Japan. It's kind of like the village in my story. Does anyone think it would be bad form to use the actual name of the village in my story?

There's nothing wrong with it, as long as you throw in somewhere that you just liked the name or whatever. You know, the "The persons, places and events in the book are entirely fictional and any similarities to any people places or events are entirely coincidental and uninentional."

Use whatever name you want and like. You can always go back and change it later if it doesnt work out for you. Not just names of places, but names of people too.

Alright...I think for the time being I will keep the name.

I have trouble w/ names a lot too. I try not to sweat it too much, find/change all in Word is spiffy :p
