paradise. the paradise jegura (sp?) was trying to get to was a man made one right? it was like a device that was powered by the flower maiden, wolfs blood and science/magic? so how will the wolves get to paradise themselves? is there a certain location they must get to with the flower maiden to get there? or are they waiting for the time to be right with cheza? i'm confused.. it probably doesn't help that i've missed some episodes too. :|

Good question. Kiba, and Hige for sure. I think that Darcia would re consider, and jion them in paradise, but I doubt it.

Okay....Darcia was a human noble who fell in love with Jagura's twin sister Harmona. Anyway somehow Darcia and Harmona made it to Paradise, but because they were human they were cursed by Paradise. Darcia was given the eye of a wolf and he was made half wolf like blue, Harmona on the other hand was cursed with Paradise sickness and the only way to cure her was to take her back to Paradise. Anyway that's why Darcia was after Cheza so bad, so that he could save his love. But when Harmona died, Darcia took on this "If I can't get into Paradise then you sure as Hell can't" kinda attitude making him take on Jagura. That's most of it, and I hope that helps Sledge!

Yeah he did! I mean think about it, he stayed back to talk to him, and he even told him his darkest secret about the scar on his chest. He cried for Toboe, somehow I don't think Tsume's cried much in his life. He showed he cared though, by dropping his bad ass mask and crying for him.

Since this crazy trip began, Tsume's changed the most and I think his little buddy, Toboe was the biggest influence to that change. He found he could let his guard down, trust people (...well wolves) and care about others.

The way I see this playing out is that Kiba, Cheza, Hige, and Blue will make it to paradise's gate, or whatever, and they'll find that Blue can't go to paradise because she's not a pure wolf. So Hige will stay behind with her. As for Kiba and Cheza, I think Cheza will die opening the gate and Kiba will go through and he may or amy not find Cheza in paradise waiting for him.

i thought they were attempting to reach a physical paradise but it turns out "paradise" was actually the rebirth of the earth? but if thats the case, then why did darcia die all violently when he touched the "entrance to paradise" and kiba never touched the entrance.. i wanted to see what would happen! i looked at an episode guide last night and that was the last ep. :\

Omg it was so sad, I cried throught the whole damn thing, I was all "shit, shit, damn, NO!!!" through the whole thing. I think...I think I finally figured the end out though. Cheza knew all along, she knew that they wouldn't make it to paradise. Paradise was as Lady said, the re-birth of the Earth, and they didn't make it, but when the Earth was re-born and the ice melted, the evil of Darcia's eye once agian poisoned the Earth and destroyed Paradise, bringing the world that we once again saw Kiba and all the others in. It's a never ending cycle, there can never be a Paradise, something will always poison or distroy it in some way. I think that's what the creator wanted to get across in the end. It was still so sad though, Kiba...he knew that what Cheza was saying was true, and that his job was to make sure the world would be re-born, it had nothing to do with actually getting to Paradise it self. Then we see him running in the end...running to find the last Lunar Flower.:(

if youre looking for a long series, Kenshin, Inu Yasha and Yu Yu Hakusho are all quite long. Slayers was 3 seasons (I think it was 3) and some to most Gundam series are over 30 episodes.

If you've finished Wolf's Rain now you see the way it relates plot wise to The Dark Tower. Just switch Paradise for the Tower and Kiba for Roland and wallah! :p

i completely see the connection between wolf's rain and the dark tower. its as if they were the same story but in different realities. O_O after finishing the dark tower i have a much bigger appreciation for wolf's rain. even the ending, its all relevant.

I vaguely remember right now. I think Kiba gets into this ship because he's looking for that "rose/flower" girl. He finds her all hooked upto some big wires n stuff and the episode ends. I'll post more tomorrow when I remember more clearly. I don't think this's quite it.

They were at Jagura's Keep when that happened. Jagura was trying to open Paradise, she had Cheza and the wolves came for her. They had Kiba hooked up to some crazy machine that was draining his blood. The other wolves, Cher, Hubb, Pops are all in the city. This is the part where all sorts of hell breaks loose. Tsume finds all of these dead wolves, Hige is going nutbar, Cheza and Kiba are dieing and Darcia shows up. Fun stuff.
It has such a Dark Tower feel to it. Espically the ending. Awsome.

WOW...the stories really are alike...but yeah I really do have a better appreciation for the anime...though I already adored it. It was so sad and depressing, but the story can't be beat.

Btw if you're looking for a really, really, really long anime...check out Dragon Ball Z.
