sledge n I were having this conversation the other nite....
Do you think Ziggy will have a different body in future episodes?
In the beginning~ish of X2, Jr. says something to Ziggy about hooking him up w/ weapons grade realian body parts, Ziggy for the most part just sort of grumbles and says no thanks. Jr. referes to Ziggy more often as 'old man' then Ziggy.
Mizrahi gives him a 'tune up' while on 2nd Miltia. He is typically embarassed of his cyber bod, she was all 'dont worry about it, I'm not a young woman'. Then they start talking and Ziggy's words really effect her. They both speak quite directly(on the verge of blunt brutal honesty) to each other mentioning both Sakuya and Ziggy's suicide. Jr and chaos come in and ask if they interrupted something ;) After that conversation w/ Ziggy, it seems like Mizrahi's 'tude towards MOMO changes. She starts to see her as the other daughter; I think Ziggy already sees MOMO as his adopteded kid. Mizrahi calls him Jan Sauer a few times instead of Ziggy or Ziggaurat 8. At the end of the 2nd game Ziggy is getting fixed up again and Mizrahi even complaines that the Zigguraut 8 manuel was a bitch to get a hold of. ^_^; She is also a strong advocate of Ziggy going through life extension, she says for MOMO.
Since Ziggy is still technically property, he is assigned to the Durandel and is going to go through the whole life extension process at Jr.'s request.
So...
I wouldn't be surprised to see Ziggy get a make over. They went from anime style to a more realistic style from game one to two. It's not too far out there to guess that they would change Ziggy a little too. Maybe give him an arm that wont shatter when he smashes thru walls and what not ^_^;
His cyborg body is a pain in the ass to the engineers that have to work on him. If he was more realian then cyborg maintenence would be a lot easier. Shion could fix a realian in her sleep. :p
